Huge Halloween Wishlist!

I made a huge Halloween wishlist full of witchy lace dresses, masks and halloween accessories. I still havent decided what outfit I'll wear this year but it will most definately will be teamed with black lipstick and pointed patent heels. There are so many amazing Halloween lines this year. I was suprised to see the ASOS cat flats inspired by Charlotte Olympia and the lace dress from Urban Outfitters which looks just like a Molly Goddard dress. I hope you find something you like, I wish I could buy it all !!

Zig Zag

zig zag top - river island (sold out)
black bralet - river island (sold out similar here)
shorts - topshop on ebay (sold out similar here and here)
shoes - topshop

When I was packing for Bristol I came across this little zig zag top from River Island that I used to always wear years ago when I was obsessed with sixties style. It has inspired to experiment more with black and white and sixties patterns. I bought these black pointed heels last week from Topshop. I have a lot of black shoes but the pointed toe makes them a real statement shoe. They also remind me of the pointed heels at Miu Miu A/W 15. I'm moving to Bristol tomorrow and I really can't wait. It's going to be such a big change living in a different county but it will be an adventure too. I also can't wait for fashion week!

The Little Red Dress

dress - topshop (sold out)

A few outfit pictures from my birthday wearing my trusty red dress. I think a little red dress is an essential piece in anyone's wardrobe. I've worn this dress from Topshop on so many occasions when I couldn't decide what to wear. Unlike the LBD, the red dress is perfect for the transitional season as it can be worn as a summer dress with sandals or with a coat and boots on a colder day. I've made a wishlist of some beautiful red dresses I found online. The Millie Mackintosh button up dress is just the perfect day dress and I think the Topshop applique dress would look amazing at an Autumn wedding or on a night out :)

The Statement Jacket

left to right: leather jacket - Gucci S/S 16, denim jacket - Marc Jacobs S/S 16, embroidered bomber - Gucci S/S 16, Marc Jacobs S/S 16

The spring summer collections by Gucci and Marc Jacobs have set the trend this year for statement outerwear. 2016 is all about customizing your beloved denim jacket or investing in painted leather jacket or an embroidered bomber. I've found some amazing jackets on the high street that are pretty similar to the high end styles we seen on the runways last year.

The Leather Jacket

The first jacket by Goldie is available online at Topshop. It has really cute embroidered daisies placed over the sleeves and lapels. It is a more toned down version of the embroidered leather jacket and is also really good value at only £58. The second jacket is a hand painted vintage leather jacket by Elizabeth Thilsley. She makes one of kind leather jackets with sassy slogans painted onto the back. She is launching her collection at Liberty London this week where she will be selling 24 bespoke hand painted leather jackets. The bright pink leather biker jacket from The Ragged Priest is a real stand out piece. It comes with an assortment of slogan badges so you can customize the jacket however you like

The Bomber

The purple satin bomber with embroidered floral detail is a really good imitation for the Gucci embroidered silk bomber. River Island also sell the bomber in black, silver and pink. I love this ASOS bomber jacket because its comes in a bright yellow with a metallic trim. Its really eighties and can be customized to look like the Marc Jacobs bomber with a few enamel pins. I think the black velvet bomber from Topshop has some serious Gucci vibes. The floral embroidery gives the jacket a vintage feel and can really make an all black outfit

The Denim Jacket

There are some amazing denim jackets on ASOS this year. I think the first one with the black spray paint and the phrase 'Didn't Get Caught' really stands out. I love the over sized fit too. The second one by Monki has some really cute embroidered phrases and symbols contained within the upper back section. I love the black denim jacket by the Ragged Priest because it has an assortment of hand painted symbols that are unique to every jacket.

The first denim jacket by ASOS has a number of patches and detailing including a slogan on the back that says 'Daydreamer'. I think its a really good price at €67 considering the amount of detail on it. The black denim jacket from Topshop is a bit more punk than the previous jackets. It has a number of patches on the front, sleeve and a statement patch on the back. The last jacket is another Ragged Priest beauty. It is in more of a kawaii style as it has pastel pink sequined patches that spell out Mermaid.

DIY

It is also quite easy to customize a jacket yourself and make it a more statement piece, especially if you have a beloved denim or leather jacket that you wear all the time. You can buy some really cute pins from a website called Shop Art Theft. It was created by a group of artists after their designs were copied by Zara. By buying from the website you can show your support for independent artists whose work is being stolen by major retail store. I think its good cause and another excuse to buy more cute enamel pins!

Etsy is also a great place to buy patches and pins for customizing jacket. Just search for you favourite band/movie/tv character and you'll be sure to find a patch to match. How cute are these patches that I found on Etsy :)

You can also choose to buy patches and pins from different places you've visited in order to give it a more personal touch. Blogger Helen Anderson made an awesome video on the jacket she has customized with things she bought on her travels. You can also buy patch bundles at Local Heroes and Skinny Dip London. There's so many options so get customizing!

Moonage Daydream

top - river island
velvet joni jeans - topshop (sold out similar here)
boots - office

Today was one of those days when I couldn't stop applying eyeliner but hey I kind of like it that way. I got the velvet joni jeans in the sale this Christmas but they are sold out online now. Its annoying that most of my clothes and shoes are in Dublin. I've been rotating between two pairs of shoes all month. I've been listening to Ziggy Stardust all day, its becoming a new favourite

Halloween

mask - h&m
black lipstick - topshop
velvet choker - river island
top - h&m

I bought this mask from h&m last year but I didn't wear it so I thought I'd pull it out for the occasion. I got the black lipstick from Topshop two years ago, they don't seem to make them anymore. I think h&m might sell something similar though. I hope you had a nice Halloween :)

Racer

top - river island
shorts - river island
shoes - new look
purse - river island
bag - penneys

I really like wearing this grey racer crop top, it feels sort of sporty which is not something I usually go for but I think it looks great with these high waisted shorts. It's currently reduced to €9 and you can get it in lots of different colours. I bought these little black heels from new look because I don't really like wearing flats but I also needed something I could walk in hehe I got a new purse from River Island and I really love it, it barely fits into the current black bag I'm using but I think it looks very cool so I don't mind. I'm going shopping in Camden on Sunday and Monday so I bought this big black bag from Penneys. I'm planning on using it to bring home some records, my current suitcase is too small :( hand luggage restrictions are one of the most annoying things about travelling. I'm really excited about going to London and I can't to show you what I find in Camden :)

Glazerr

top - topshop
shorts - river island
sandals - new look

hey :) sorry I haven't posted in ages, I got really badly sun burnt, so I went into hiding (I'm still as pale as ever now somehow) and then I painted my room which took a lot longer than I thought but I really like it. Ill take pictures when I finish wallpapering the last wall. Im becoming quite the DIY expert hehe I bought this top a few weeks ago and I really love it. Ellie from Wolf Alice was wearing the green version at Glastonbury, which makes it very cool. I've spent ages looking for blue denim shorts that fit neatly but I finally found these ones from River Island, they are made from a stretchy denim so they fit perfectly and they have cute little zips on the sides. I found this tote bag from The Blogger Programme yesterday. I got it ages ago but I lost it for a bit when I moved back home from Dublin. They also sent me these lemon flavoured mints from Peppersmith. Follow me on The Blogger Programme if ya like x

Midnight Rambler

sunglasses - river island
parka - topshop
top - topshop
shorts - miss selfridge

I really want to wear this outfit to a festival. I've been listening to my rolling stones albums today and now I'm in such a festival mood. I love this top so much, the fringing is so cool. I got it in Topshop ages ago but I didn't have any high waisted shorts to wear with it but I got these black ones in Miss Selfridge recently. They have some really nice shorts atm. I have such a love/hate relationship with this parka, I like the oversized look but I think I'm too short to pull it off hehe

White Light/White Heat

coat - forever 21 (sold out similar here)
dress - oh my love
bag - river island

My attempts at posting my outfit (I'm in desperate need of a tripod). I love this plaid boyfriend coat so much, I never thought Id get tired of wearing parkas but I've lived in them for three years and I think its time to move on. I got the peach fur bag in River Island, its so cute, I'm in love. It's the last week before I have to go back to uni so I'm trying to cram as many books, movies and music into my free time as is possible, its exhausting, I think I'm relaxing wrong hehe

Photo Diary: New Season

Last week I went shopping in Dublin because I wanted some things for Autumn. I got this cute stripey top and black leather skirt in Forever 21. I'm addicted to stripy tops
